Marriage, Wedding and other services availableCivil ceremonies have become increasingly popular. One of the reasons for the increasing popularity is the flexibility of the venue ... your garden, a council park, a boat, your reception venue, any place which is special to you and your partner to exchange vows with one another.
A civil ceremony is non-religious and normally takes around 20 minutes to complete. Multicultural traditions, values and beliefs can also be incorporated into a civil ceremony. I offer a wide variety of of meaningful ceremonies, poems and verses for you to choose from or you may have your own choice of words, poems or vows, so your ceremony will be a very special and memorable occasion to you, your partner and your guests. You may also like to include family or friends in your ceremony, your children or children from a previous relationship. WeddingsWhether you are interested in a short and simple ceremony or a more traditional marriage ceremony I am happy to accommodate your wishes. It is your wedding and you should have plenty of input as to how the ceremony is structured and its length.
NamegivingsDo you want a personalised service to officially name your child?
Re-Affirmation of VowsDo you want a ceremony to re-affirm or re-new your marriage vows?
FuneralsMany people prefer not to use a church to farewell their loved one, and funeral parlour directors can be impersonal. I can work with you to put together a commemoration and celebration of the life of the one who has died, using time honoured rituals to help you express your love and sorrow at this time in a way that allows family and friends to reach a calm resolution of their grief.
Commitment Ceremonies A commitment ceremony is for couples, who for legal or other personal reasons are unable to marry, but their love for each other is strong enough so they wish to make a public commitment to each other, in the presence of their family and friends. Couples who were married overseas often choose this type of ceremony, so they can re-celebrate their union in front of their family and friends who were unable to join them for their wedding. I also offer commitment ceremonies to same gender couples providing you with an opportunity to have a meaningful and moving ceremony, which you can celebrate before your family and friends. Same sex marriages are not currently legal in Australia. A commitment ceremony is not a wedding. There are no legal requirements for this type of ceremony.
My Commitment to Your HappinessAs a registered civil marriage celebrant, I conduct Weddings, Renewal of Marriage Vows, Naming Ceremonies, Funeral Services and Commitment Ceremonies. All of the Ceremonies that I conduct are celebrations of significant events in people's lives, and I believe that my role is to help to co-ordinate a celebration of these important occasions. I provide a certificate, a special candle or other appropriate item to commemorate the event. I take professional pride in my work and ensure that all of the ceremonies that I conduct take into account your beliefs, personality and the things you consider important in a warm, happy and dignified way. |
